Our Impact

Level Up Youth Work is a transformative initiative aimed at enhancing the skills and capacity of front-line practitioners in the youth sector across North West London. Through a partnership between the Young People’s Foundations (YPFs) in Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea, Camden, Ealing, and Hammersmith and Fulham, Level Up Youth Work is committed to providing high-quality training and development opportunities to empower those working tirelessly to support the region's young people.

Kensington and Chelsea has a long standing relationship with the voluntary and community sector, ensuring children and young people have accesses to opportunities that can support their personal development. However, the voluntary and community sector faces significant challenges due to limited resources.

Our commitment to elevating our members means supporting front-line practitioners, dealing with complex issues such as serious youth violence, mental health, and housing support, by providing training and development to effectively meet the needs of the children and young people accessing their services.

YOUTH WORKER FORUMS

The Kensington and Chelsea Youth Worker Forum serves as a vital platform for front-line practitioners to come together, share experiences, and access support. These forums, held quarterly with practitioner-led themes, provide an invaluable opportunity for knowledge exchange and peer-led learning.

Practitioner-Led Approach: Ensuring that practitioners' voices lead all discussions, fostering an environment of collaboration and empowerment.

Diverse Representation: The forums aim to reflect the diversity of the local community, with representation from all communities within Kensington and Chelsea.

OUR TRAINING OFFER

Young K&C delivers specialised training sessions tailored to the needs identified by front-line practitioners. These sessions cover a range of topics, including cultural competency, leadership skills, and wellbeing support, equipping practitioners with the tools they need to address the evolving challenges faced by young people.

The training offer is developed by working closely with front-line practitioners. This approach ensures that the needs of front-line practitioners are what guides our training offer, allowing a holistic list of training to be available to the sector.
