DEADLINE EXTENDED: Wellness from Within

The deadline for the Wellness from Within grant has been extended to 3 July and an online Meet the Funder session will take place on 14 May for further information about the grant.

Wellness from Within is a new grant developed by Young K&C in partnership with Central North West London NHS foundation. The aim of the grant is to increase awareness about disordered eating and its complex, and often misunderstood, causes.

Grants of between £5,000 and £65,000 are available to local Voluntary and Community Organisations working with young people aged 14-25.

APPLY HERE

Eligible projects may involve:

  • Initiatives that explore body image, exam stress, perfectionism, social media awareness, cooking and eating for health
  • Workshops and/or campaigns to educate people about disordered eating and its associated risks
  • Promotion and signposting of services and support available to young people
  • Provision of early mental health support, including peer support and/or targeted outreach that is culturally and racially sensitive
  • Provision of skills and sensitivity training to staff and volunteers running clubs and groups with young people

Successful applications will demonstrate that their project reaches young people from under-represented groups, such as:

  • Young men
  • Non-binary young adults
  • Black young adults
  • Those with bulimia, binge eating disorders, or history of dieting
  • Young people with obesity

On 14 May at 11am, CNWL NHS and Young K&C will be hosting an online Meet the Funder session for further information about the grant as well as an opportunity for interested groups to ask questions.
