Community Cook Off CIC

The Community Cook Off is an extraordinary initiative that endeavours to bring together community services and residents from all walks of life, irrespective of age, ethnicity, or background. It serves as a unifying platform through its annual competition, fostering a sense of togetherness and celebrating the diverse culinary talents within the community.

This, now annual event, showcases the power of food and communal spirit. Each year, teams eagerly participate, showcasing their culinary prowess and creativity while contributing to a worthy cause.

The Community Cook Off holds the conviction that food has the remarkable ability to bridge gaps, nurture connections, and create lasting bonds. By raising funds for truly commendable causes, this event goes beyond a mere competition; it becomes a catalyst for positive change, enabling meaningful contributions to various social causes that uplift and empower the community at large.

We have now installed and fitted a new kitchen within Golborne Youth & Community Centre, along with our kitchen workshop where we will be holding cooking sessions during school holidays, we are also opening up the classes to adults. We are also currently in the process of installing a cafe within the space for people to meet & socialise and reduce the feeling of isolation.
