Workshop: Including Disabled Young People

Young K&C in partnership with the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) are hosting a workshop for local leaders, managers and practitioners at children and youth settings in RBKC and Westminster.

We would like to invite all Young K&C members to "Including Disabled Young People" a workshop developing strategies and partnerships to support more disabled children and young people in attending local adventure playgrounds, youth clubs, sports, arts and other out-of-school activities.

The in-person workshop will be led by the RBKC Short Breaks team, featuring discussions and case studies to help support disabled children and young people. Lunch will be provided.

When: Wednesday 18 May, 12pm - 3:30pm

Where: Lancaster Youth Hub, 128a Lancaster Road, W11 1QS

The workshops follows the recent Children’s Play Policy Forum and the UK Play Safety Forum’s joint statement on Including Disabled Children in Play Provision.

Our commitment to including disabled children and young people in play provision and youth settings is unwavering. We are here to support our members as best as we can to ensure they have the knowledge and skills needed to ensure disabled children and young people are actively included in sessions.

Book your place here: https://bit.ly/YKCDisabledYP

The workshop is supported and funded by The K+C Foundation
