The Wolfson Foundation: Funding for Special Schools and Colleges
Eligibility
We support schools and colleges for children and young people with special educational needs. Grants are awarded for projects focussed on helping pupils to develop skills which would help them to gain employment or live independently after leaving school or college.
The organisation should meet all of the following criteria:
- be a registered charity, local authority
- be registered with the relevant regulatory authority, where applicable, and have at least a good rating
The project should be for a new building, refurbishment work or equipment and aim to produce one or more of the following outcomes:
- Increased access to services for new and existing users
- Improved quality and range of services
- Improved financial stability of the organisation
Decision dates:
June and December annually. Projects must not be completed before a funding decision is made
We run two funding rounds each year. The key dates are:
Round 1
Open to Stage 1 applications: 20 November
Stage 1 application deadline: 5 January
Stage 2 application deadline: 1 March
Funding decision: June
Round 2
Open to Stage 1 applications: 14 May
Stage 1 application deadline: 1 July
Stage 2 application deadline: 1 September
Funding decision: December
