Exploring Culture, Identity and Heritage 2022 Fund, Now Open!
Local voluntary organisations working with children and young people in Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea can apply for funding for projects that explore culture, identity and heritage.
With over 99 different languages spoken by children and young people across RBKC, we are proud to be from such a diverse and multicultural borough.
Young K&C is running this grant programme in partnership with John Lyon’s Charity. The grants are exclusively for smaller charities and community interest companies that have income under £250,000 in the last financial year.
We want to ensure that children and young people from the borough are given the support and care they need. To do this, we're taking the action to fund projects run by local organisations that work to explore the culture, heritage and identity of local children and young people
All you have to do is come up with a great idea for learning about the cultures, histories and diversity of local communities in Kensington and Chelsea. This could be through food, art, discussion groups, history, music, children’s play, drama, sport, photography, film, LGBTQI++ groups, girls groups, activities for disabled young people, cultural groups or any other activities
Your project should take place between 1 January and 31 August 2023.
Decisions will be made by our grants panel, including local young people.
