Young K&C, in partnership with the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC), is thrilled to introduce an exciting initiative aimed at creating outstanding opportunities for children and young people in RBKC.
The Youth Empowerment Grant Programme (2025-2030) is designed to support the voluntary and community sector in delivering top-tier play and youth services. Our goal is to build and strengthen partnerships across the public, private, and voluntary sectors, ensuring that every child and young person in the borough has access to the support they need.
RBKC has committed £4,700,000 over five years, with Young K&C aiming to raise an additional £750,000 in match funding. This investment is part of RBKC’s broader vision for a Greener, Safer, and Fairer borough.
The programme is built around five key priorities identified in the 2023 Youth Review:
-
Inclusivity
Ensuring all young people feel welcomed and valued.
-
Learning and Employability
Preparing young people for the future
-
Physical and Emotional Wellbeing
Promoting mental health and healthy lifestyles
-
Safe and Secure Spaces
Providing environments where young people can thrive
-
Celebrating the Sector
Recognising the achievements of the local sector
