The Gheez Rite Supplementary School
About Organisation
The Gheez Rite Supplementary school is for young people aged 5 to 16.
The aims and objectives of the Gheez Rite Supplementary Saturday School are that the children learn their mother tongue, Tigrinya, and cultural heritage plus they get support with core subjects such as Maths and English.
We also aims to give parents time to rest or work during the hours of 10:30-5pm every Saturday. Our main aim and objective is also to address emotional development to give them a positive purpose in life teaching them responsibility to have a healthy lifestyle and the necessary support in their education so they can give back to the community.
GRCCA's aim is always reaching out the vast majority of children whether they were born here or who recently have come to the country who are in need of guidance, support and belonging.
We supports single parents who can not afford extra tuition if the child needs it, as majority do not speak English well.
We also focus on delivering physical development and runs football club 2 hours and dance (Zumba) club 1 hour each Saturday, this help avoid children hanging around on the streets but instead have a social life whilst addressing their holistic development.
