About Organisation

Targeted Prevention Team (TPT) are a team of experienced and dedicated Careers, Education, Employment and Training Workers. The team are the specialised and dedicated NEET Team within Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC). Offering mentoring and coaching to young people, aged 16-19 (up to 25 SEND and an EHCP) who are Not in Education, Employment and Training (NEET), or at risk of becoming NEET, living in RBKC. Young people are supported into positive outcomes such as education, employment, apprenticeship or traineeship. Each session is tailored to meet the needs and aspirations of the young person. Regular one-to-one and interactive groupwork sessions are delivered in youth hubs and community settings. After each session a 'Young Person Action Plan' is written. Outlining the information, advice and guidance delivered during the session as well as SMART actions. During Covid-19, the team are working flexibly to continue to support service users with: • Regular communication with NEET young people offering careers information, advice and guidance • Telephone calls and virtual communication delivered using secure and safe channels • Regular TPT careers information and training bulletins sent to NEETs via email, WhatsApp message and text • Referrals to RBKC Covid-19 support and other specialist services For further information please contact Zeena Gordon: Senior Targeted Prevention Team Coordinator on zeena.gordon@rbkc.gov.uk
