Rise Kids CIC

Rise Kids CIC is a grassroots organisation which provides after school and school holiday programmes to children and young people who were directly impacted by the Grenfell fire tragedy in 2017. Rise Kids was formed in response to the limited childcare support available for families who had been displaced and bereaved following the Grenfell fire. We support children and young people aged 6-16, many of whom have been displaced since the 2017 fire and are still living in temporary accommodation. We provide the unique service of collecting children from school and providing them with a hot meal and activities including a homework club, sports, arts and health and wellbeing activities (including daily meditation and mindfulness) at our centre. We deliver our afterschool service Monday - Friday during term time and during the school holidays. During the Covid-19 pandemic, we have been able to adapt our services through providing mentoring and activities online and distributing food parcels to our local community.
