Our Next Chapter: Growing Our Impact with a New Leadership Model
Our Next Chapter: Growing Our Impact with a New Leadership Model
Dear friends, partners, and members,
We are thrilled to share some exciting news about the future of Young K&C.
From 1 September 2025, Young K&C will be adopting a new Co-CEO leadership model. This move marks the next step in Young K&C's strategic development, reflecting our core values of collaboration, equity, and shared power.
Under this new structure, our current CEO, Nicola Butler, and our current Deputy CEO, Niamh Graham, will become Co-CEOs, leading the organisation together.
This transformative step is about more than just a change in titles. It is an intentional move to develop a stronger, more effective leadership model. By sharing leadership, we are building Young K&C's capacity and embedding our values at the very highest levels of our organisation.
This new model will enable us to:
- Grow Young K&C's capacity and reach, enabling us to do more for our community.
- Provide more strategic advice and support to our vital member organisations.
- Ensure that the perspectives of young people and local voluntary organisations are embedded in all of our strategic decisions.
- Ensure that Young K&C is reflective of the young people and organisations that it serves.
We are confident that this change will strengthen Young K&C for the future. More details about our future strategy will be shared in due course.
Our new Co-CEOs are excited to embark on this next chapter.
Niamh adds her perspective on this progressive step:
"Young K&C is taking a bold and progressive step towards shared leadership and power in the local voluntary and community sector. I'm extremely proud of the impact we've made over the past 5 years. The Co-CEO model will shape our future by ensuring Young K&C lives, breathes and practices our values."
Nicola shares her thoughts on the transition:
"I am excited about this next stage in Young K&Cās development. I am looking forward to working with Niamh to ensure that our work continues to be led and informed by the needs and wishes of our members - the fantastic local, voluntary and community organisations of Kensington and Chelsea - and the young people that they serve."
We are incredibly proud to be taking this innovative step and look forward to working with all of you as we continue our mission to support the children and young people of Kensington & Chelsea.
Warmly,
Young K&C
