FAQs
- Are organisations working in other boroughs eligible?
Organisations with a registered address outside of RBKC but a proven track record of delivering services within the borough can apply.
- What is the maximum amount we can apply for?
Main Grants - no maximum amount. Providers currently funded in this area receive an average of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum.
Small Grants - up to £8,000 or up to £10,000 for projects making adaptations to support children and young people with SEND.
Making Space - up to £20,000 per annum.
- Will organisations who take over the council buildings be required to work with providers currently using the building?
All organisations who apply to lease council buildings will be required to maximise the use of the building for services delivered to children and young people. To support smaller organisations, we will be prioritising organisations that deliver work in partnership with the sector.
- What does a partnership bid look like for the Youth Empowerment Grant Programme?
We are looking for partnerships that deliver work across the sector. This includes any current arrangements working with local authority, public or private sector organisations, such as libraries, museums, other VCS organisations and more. We welcome partnership and consortium bids to deliver services within the Main Grant.
Lead organisations applying within a partnership will need to submit the following documents:
- Health and Safety policy
- Safeguarding policies and procedures
- Employers Insurance and Public Liability Insurance
- Bank statement within the past 3 months
Partners within this organisation will need to submit the follow documents:
- Health and Safety policy
- Safeguarding policies and procedures
A risk assessment and training log for the all the service providers within the partnership will need to be submitted.
